Schools fundraising

Choosing Amy’s House to be your charity of the year is a fantastic way to support a local cause. Your school will be able to hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year. At the end of the year (or during it) we will come and talk to you about our service and how much it means to us that you have chosen Amy’s House as your charity of the year.

We can come to your school
We would love to come to your school and talk in assembly about Amy’s House, the work we do and how your fundraising will help us.
• If you would like someone to come to your school, please get in touch with us on XXXX
• If you would prefer to give your own assembly or ask a teacher to talk about Amy’s House, then we can provide you with further information and advice about Amy’s House to help with your preparation.

School fundraising ideas:

Non-Uniform Day
Non-Uniform days are popular with all pupils and are very easy to or-ganise. All you need to do is decide on a date, let pupils know and ask for a donation in return.

Wear the Wrong Trousers Day
Why not get the pupils to wear pyjama trousers with their shirt and tie and donate a pound?

Stage a Concert/Show
Concerts are a great way to involve the whole school as well as pupils’ families and friends. There is also huge scope for ideas, for example, talent shows, pantomime, play, sponsored sing and musical recitals.

This is just a start… and your students will have even more ideas. Remember, the more enthusiastic your students are about running a charity event, the more involved they’ll become!
